Total Green blocks are the latest evolution in raw material research that Isotex constantly carries out, to achieve maximum efficiency of the wood cement building system and maximum respect for the environment.

In Total Green blocks, the insulating insert is made with 100% BASF Neopor® BMBcert from sustainable and certified renewable sources.

Eco-friendly insulation insert for even greener construction

The Neopor® BMBcert insulating insert from BASF has been inserted into Isotex wood cement formwork blocks since 2017. BASF’s Neopor® BMBcert is the highest quality expandable polystyrene, made with beads of different granulometry that contain tiny graphite particles with higher thermal capacities than classic EPS. BASF’s Neopor® BMBcert insulation, together with the wood cement that makes up the Isotex blocks, guarantees maximum energy savings (class A4-NZEB-ZEB) and excellent living comfort.

Isotex formwork blocks are even better performing: the thermal transmittance value is U=0.15 W/m²K, the thickness of the finished wall is preserved, as well as the excellent structural characteristics, thermal inertia, energy savings and fire safety.

Neopor BMBcert reduces CO2 emissions by 42%

BASF’s Neopor® BMBcert is made with the Biomass Balance process, based on the REDcert2 scheme, according to which up to 100% of primary fossil sources are replaced by sustainable and certified renewable sources, i.e. biomass (such as organic waste).

The Biomass Balance method not only contributes to saving primary fossil sources, but also further improves the environmental profile of insulating products: the carbon footprint of panels made with BASF’s Neopor® BMBcert reduces CO2 emissions by 42% compared to standard Neopor® panels.

Isotex Total Green ReMade in Italy certificate

100% recycled Isotex Total Green insulating insert blocks are ReMade certified in Italy with a Class A+ label. The certification confirms the product contains recycled raw material and qualifies it as reliable, sustainable and fully traceable.
