Eco Village, Findhorn Update
December 19, 2025Here’s some of the footage from the barn conversion near Congleton which is owned by Tom and Karen Halton and was a steel frame just over a year ago.
They decided to build the exterior walls using the Isotex HDIII 38/17 blocks which are 380mm deep and contain 170mm of insulation and provide U values of 0,15.
Some customers prefer to plaster directly to the blocks either using spray plaster or traditional wet plaster and on this project Tom and Karen decided to “dot and dab” 12.5mm plasterboard directly to the blocks.
This project is almost finished and as well as a stunning open plan living/ dining and kitchen area, there is also a separate utility room, a plant room, a large office, two large bedrooms with en-suites on the ground floor with an amazing master bedroom upstairs, with a huge balcony with cracking views, a large dressing room on the mezzanine floor and a master en-suite!
